Beauty

 Scripture

‘ Your beauty should not come from outward adornment,

such as brauded hair or the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes.

Instead, it should be that of your inner self,

the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit,

which is of great worth in God’s sight.’

1 Peter 3:3-4

Observation

Another lesson here on the meaning of true beauty.

God sees beauty in the hearts of women who are gentle in spirit.

We should not be obsessed by fashion, but neither should we

be too unconcerned that we do not bother to care of ourselves.

Hygeine, neatness and grooming are essential, but even more vital are

a person’s attitude and inner spirit.

True beauty begins inside.

Application

Think less on how to dress up mysels outwardly,

and focus more on becoming the kind of girl my Daddy delights in!

Work hard on cultivating a gentle and quiet spirit…

Prayer

Father, Thank you for revealing your words on how I should be

as a Christian women.

I have so much to learn Lord, and so much to put into practice.

Please help me! I can do nothing without you.

But all things are possible through You Lord who strengthens me!

Mould me Jesus I pray, Amen!

Flee!

 Scripture

‘Flee the evil desires of youth, and pursue righteousness,

faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord

out of a pure heart.’

2 Timothy 2:22

Observation

Running away is sometimes considered cowardly.

But wise people realize that removing themselves physically

from temptation often can be thee most courageous action to take.

We are warned to flee from anything that produced evil thoughts.

Remove ourselves physically from any situation

that stimulates our desire to sin.

Knowing when to run is as important in spiritual battle

as knowing when or how to fight.

(Refer 1 Timothy 6:11)

Application

I will ‘cabut’ as fast as I can whenever I’m in a tempting situation.

I will not compromise my Godly values for the pursuit of earthly pleasures.

Instead, I will spend more time meditating on the Word of God

and diligently seek righteousness, godliness, faith, love, gentleness and endurance.

Prayer

Dear Jesus,

Help me to flee from all wickedness and things

that would bring shame to the name of my Father.

Give me the courage and perseverance to pursue Your righteousness.

Hold my hands and helo me to fight the good fight of faith!

I pray in Jesus name.

Amen!

Youth

Scripture

‘Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young,

but set an example for the believers in

speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.’

1 Timothy 4:12

Observation

Timothy was a young pastor.

It would have been easy for older Christians

to look down on him because of his youth.

He had to earn the respect of the elders by setting an example

inhis speech, life, love, faith and purity.

Regardless of our age, God can use us.

Don’t think of our age as a handicap.

Live so others can see Christ in us!

Application

I will equip myself as much as I can with the Word of God

so that my words, my actions and my believe

will be a pleasant example to all around me.

I will never ever think of my age to be a barrier

to minister to the adults anymore.

Prayer

O Lord, help thy servant to equip herself with all

things necessary for the glory of thy kingdom.

Holy Spirit, anoint my mouth and my whole being,

that it may be an acceptable form of sacrifice to our Father,

and a good model to my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ.

In Jesus name I pray, Amen!

Inner Beauty

‘ I also want women to dress modestly,

With decency and propriety,

Not with braided hair or gold or pearls or expensive clothes,

But with good deeds, appropriate for women

who profress to worship God.’

1 Timothy 2:9-10

Observation

Apparently, some Christian women were trying

To gain respect by looking beautiful

rather than becoming Christlike in character.

 It is not wrong to want to be attractive.

Beauty, however, begins inside a person.

A gentle, modest, loving character gives light to the face

That cannot be duplicated by the best cosmetics

and jewelry in the world.

 

A carefully groomed and well-decorated exterior is

artificial unless inner beauty is present.

Application

I will have to work on my character flaws…

To mould myself to God’s perfection.

To concentrate more on becoming like Christ

than becoming some supermodel or beauty queen! Haha.

Prayer

Papa God,

I pray that your favor will continue to be with me as i

I pray that your light will shine through me,

That people will be attracted to what they see in me.

May my love for Christ and the character I;m working on

be a blessing to others.

Faith

Scripture

‘ And without faith it is impossible to please God,

because anyone who comes to him

must believe that He exists and that He rewards

those who earnestly seeks Him. ‘

Hebrews 11:6

Observation

Believing that God exists is only the beginning;

Even the demons believe that much.

God will not settle for mere

acknowledgement of His existence.

He wants a personal, dynamic relationship

with us that will transform our life.

Those who seek God will find that they are

rewarded with His intimate presence.

Application

I will practice my faith in every little thing I do everyday.

I will constantly make myself to remember

God’s goodeness, greatness and soveirgnity.

Having a beautiful and dynamic relationship with God

will be my ultimate goal this year!

Prayer

O Lord, strengthen my faith in you.

Holy spirit, inspire in me daily the love for Christ.

Helo me to trust you and seek your counsel

In every aspect of my life.

Diligent

Scripture

‘If a man will not work, he shall not eat’

2 Thessalonians 3:10

Observation

Paul here is trying to tell us that even as Christians

we must be diligent in our work.

Paul worked hard, labored and toiled day and night.

There is a difference between leisure and laziness.

Relaxation and recreation is necessary to balance our lives,

but when it comes to work, Christians should jump right in!

We should make the most out of our talent and time.

Rest when you should be resting and work when you should be working.

Application

I will be diligent in my LIFEPAC work and

not let laziness or other things to distract me.

When its time to study, I have to give in my best and all!

That’s my work for the mean time =)

Prayer

O Lord, Help me to never be sluggish and lazy at any time.

When I put my hand into the plough to achieve something,

Holy Spirit I pray that you’ll give me the diligence to accomplish it.

Humility

Scripture

‘Do not exalt yourself in the King’s presence,

And do not claim a place among great man;

It is better for him to say to you ‘come up here’

Than for him to humiliate you before a noble man.’

Proverbs 25:6-7

Observation

Jesus told of a similar parable in Luke 14:7-11

He said if we attend a wedding feast,

we should not choose to sit in the front seat,

Or we would be humiliated when the host asks us to

give our seat to a more distinguished person.

We should take the lower place and when the host comes he’ll say

‘Friend, come up and have a better seat’ 

Application

We should not seek honor for ourselves.

It is better to quietly and faithfully accomplish the work

God has given to us to do.

As others notice the quality of our lives,

Then they will draw attention to us.

Prayer

O Lord, help me that in whatever I do and wherever I go

To carry the spirit of humility.

I pray that my life would be a blessing to others,

that they may see you, Jesus in my character i pray.

Mould me and change me.

Myanmar

Is it fair that the people in Myanmar live in such pathetic poverty?

* muttering

Is God there?

*yea. has God forgotten them?

Why is God so small in Myanmar?Why doesn't He manifest Himself?

*yea!anger shouts.

My dear children,

Don't be fooled by what meets your eye.

The dirty turfs, the impecunious people, the monks everywhere...

They are just a small part of my painting you're seeing.

What doesn't meet your eyes are the hearts and the lives of the people.

Because of their circumstances,

I have trained them to be strong and courageous.

Because they are poverty-stricken,

they learnt only to cling on me

Because they could not find freedom in their land,

they seek it only from Me and My word.

Then you will know the truth and the truth will set you free.

John 8:32

Because they find no hope in their authorities,

They hold on firmly to the hope they acquire in Christ.

Because their families were taken away by awful catastrophes,

they have learnt to care for the widows and orphans.

Religion that God accepts as pure and faultless is this:

to look after the widows and orphand in their distress...

James 1:27

Because their land is filled with monks and Buddhist temples,

I have raised amazing prayer warriors.

Because of all their hardship,

they learnt to trust me with gigantic faith i see nowhere else in the world.

 

So, my children,tell me, am I not BIG, magnified and glorified in Myanmar?

Night

Have you ever wondered why night was created?
Why everyone has to go to bed, close their eyes and slumber while the stars remain shining?
Why is it that the sun has to go down everytime the clock strucks seven? 
Have you ever thought about that?
Well, I did.
The moon and darkness resembles the closing of the day,
the coming down of the curtains,
the ending of a story...
Its like closing a great big book with the words 
' My life today-22/3/10' written on it.
And when the sun rises, opening a new big book 'My life today-23/3/10'
Whatever you've done on 22/3/10, good or bad will be shelved off and forgotten sooner or later.
What's important is the 23rd, its today, a brand new day when the sun smiles and the clouds wave at you.
Every embarresing moments of yestersday, every failure, closes and ends in yesterday's book, ends in your slumber, ends in the night.
When morning comes and the rooster awakes you,
everything is brand new-
New book, new chapter, new life, new day.
Imagine if there was no night, and all is light,
there would be no end to every fight, to every hatred, to every wrong deed, to every unforgivesness,to every...
there would be no rest* plain frustration.
Hence our wise God above made sure He made both night and day, light and darkness when the world was created.
He loves giving second chances, He loves starting afresh with His creation.
He does not take interest in your blunders and mistakes, he forgets them.
Psalms 103:12
As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.

How great is our God!
Now we can always ask Him to forgive us of our sins and let us start off again in His righteousness!
his mercies are new every morning!

Because of the LORD’s great love we are not consumed,for his compassions never fail.
They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23

To have night means to have a hope, a hope for a better tomorrow, a light for a better future!
Only by the grace and the mercy of our Abba Father.Amen!

Failing

Have you ever just freeze to ponder upon the frailty and wickedness of mankind?
I don't even mean the felonious group of people who commit great crimes,
I'm talking about real life people around us,
people we look up to, people we trust, people we cherish...
come to think about it, even we ourselves, are frail in mind and wicked in nature.
In the deepest corner of our hearts lie the most shameful sin and thoughts...
We're just like a feckless bunch of living creatures fretting about on the surface of the earth,
stumbling down and getting up again,
reaching the top of the mountain thinking we found the key to eternal stability,
and yet deep down within us gripping tightly to the fear of failing-
failing God, failing our family, failing ourselves.
*sigh*
God whispers
'Dear child, i never asked you to be perfect...
Failing has its definition the world created for itself.
I created you, and I know the desires of your heart, both the good ones and the bad ones.
going astray isn't failing, giving up is.
Whenever you take the forbidden route, it'll just draw us closer to each other, as long as you know how to come back.
Don't worry, I have sent the Comforter to guide you and lead you,
and My word will never fail you.
Be strong and of good courage. Enjoy every moment of your life IN ME and FOR ME.

What is it like to be God?

What is it like to be God?

to watch all your creations running about their own business,

laughing and celebrating most of their lives away,

shouting and cursing when they beget the consequences of their own sin?

What is it like to spend so much time decorating the world,

just to see it destroyed by the recklessness and disputes of your own beloved homosapiens?

What is it like to sit on the top of the globe and be entirely ignored?

What is it like to see your precious handicraft destroy themselves by their innocence and greed?

What is it like to watch your sons and daughters brawl each other with wicked inventions?

What is it like to feel the pain and anguish of your children?

What is it like to listen to countless complains and anger thoughts

every single second of the day?

What is it like to hold the hands of your lost children

and help them get up timelessly again and again?

What is it like to wipe the tears and stretch out your arms

to your prodigal son everytime he comes back from his failed voyage?

What is it like to discipline your darling daughter

when you know that that's the only way?

What is it like to notice every little things your son does

that are worthy of acclaim and praise?

Being God surely isn't the easiest job, irony as it sounds to what the world might think.

Our God is just simply

Awesome!

Wisdom beyond all others, strength above all else!

Worthy of all praise, glory and honor!

Never lose sight of his goodness and faithfulness!

Never take Him for granted.
