Captivating Afterthoughts

Captivating Afterthoughts

Captivating captures the deep thoughts
and longings of every women’s heart.
Every women was once a little girl.

Every women has at least once, longed for a fairytale life,
Deep down in every women’s heart,
she wishes to be loved and longed for by a Charming Prince.
She wishes to be twirled in the air by her strong man.
she wishes to be rescued by her Knight in shining armor.
to be held tightly and whispered gently to…

Shhh. Gimme your hand. Now close your eyes’
--Jack(Titanic)---

the thrill of just hearing those words
will send any women’s sprit soaring in the skies.

What about
‘I told you — you don’t see yourself clearly at all.
You’re not like anyone I’ve ever known. You fascinate me.’
---Edward(Twilight)---

The King of the Universe placed this
empty space in every women’s heart…
hoping that she would open it up for Him to fill in.
One day, we will wake up and realize that there are no men on earth
that could fit in the exact shape of your heart,
because he isn’t the one who created you,
he isn’t the one who understood you to your deepest core.
Only Jesus could fill that space,
only He could bring eternal joy and satisfaction.
like a perfect puzzle.

‘Therefore I will block her path with thornbushes;
I will wall her in so she cannot find her way.
she will chase after her lovers but not catch them;
she will look for them but not find them.
---GOD(Hosea2:6-7)---

Jesus longs for us to be His bride.
He longs to be our lover, he longs to romance us with all that He has.
He knows every wicked part of us, every ugly wound left in us,
yet He still calls us beautiful.
He loves us with a love no other men could offer.

‘You have stolen my heart, my sister, my bride.
you have stolen my heart with one glance of your eyes.’
---GOD (Solomon 4:9)---

Isn’t that romantic?
It sure did come from God…

Here’s another one:
‘How beautiful you are, my Darling’
---GOD( Song1:15)

Darling***

God never ceases to romance us in so many ways…
If we open the eyes of our hearts and seek him attentively…
you’ll find that God has been wooing you ever since you were a girl.

Every song you love, every memory you cherish,
every moment that has moved you to holy tears has been given to you
from the One that has been pursuing you from your first breath in order
to win your heart.

God’s version of flowers and chocolates and candlelight dinners
comes in the forms of sunsets and falling stars,

moonlight on lakes and cricket symphonies’

warm wind, swaying trees, lush gardens and fierce devotion.

This romacing will be immensely personal.
it will be as if it has been scripted for you heart.
He knows what takes your breath away,
knows what makes your gherat beat faster
---pg116---

Now, let us think back of the movies we loved,
Put yourself in the scene as the beauty and Christ
as the Lover. Now what does that do to your heart?
‘ Is it okay?’
God our lover?

‘ When the feast is over and it is time for the first dance,
the kings tands and extands his hand to Anna.
He invites her to dance with him.
He fixes his gaze upon her and is distracted by nothing else.
He waits for her response.
She is clearly surprised, but has the grace to respond and stand.
As they walk past the long table,
the king’s eyes never stary from hers, a smile playing on his lips.
As they reached the dance floor, Anna expressed
her fear of dancing with the King before the eyes of the others.
“ We wouldn’t want to end up in a heap”, she says.
His answer to her questioning heart?
“ I am King, I will lead.”

Jesus is extending His hands to you.
He asks,” May I have this dance…
everyday of your life?”
His gaze is fixed on you. He is Captivated by your beauty.
he is smiling. He cares nothing of the opinion of others.
He is standing, he will lead. He waits for your response.

---CAPTIVATING by John and Stasi Eldrege---

‘Arise my darling,
my beautiful one, and come with me.’
---GOD(Song 2:10)---

PS: Now I know where to look for the spring that could satisfy my deepest desires---My number one lover, Jesus Christ.
How are you romancing me today,Jesus?
